Getting ready for the Girls!!!
Last night, our doctor told us he plans on letting the girls come home sometime this week!! Possibly as early as Tuesday! Abby and Caroline are doing awesome. They are no longer on any supplemental oxygen and are eating everything by mouth! We are so excited! The day they can come home will be determined by if they are gaining weight appropriately and if they continue to eat well and maintain their oxygen saturations. Caroline's oxygen level went down a little bit today with her feedings. That has to stop before she can come home, so hopefully she won't have anymore of these "episodes". We are so thankful for the progress they have made and that we are fast approaching the day we will bring them home! We will let you know when we know more! Michael and I are "rooming in" tomorrow during the day. We'll stay with the girls in the family room of the NICU and take care of them all by ourselves! (with the nurses close by if needed!) We figure it is good practice! In the meantime, we are shopping, cleaning, washing clothes, organizing and unpacking those last few boxes!!

I have been following your blog and am so excited for ya'll! Having the babies come home is such an answer to prayers! John & I roomed in the hospital before Grace came home and I am so glad we did-the nurses help so much in answering any questions. I will definitely be thinking about ya'll this week and don't hesitate to call if you have any questions! Get ready! You are about to start the craziest and most exciting journey of your life!
Congratulations!!

What good little eaters you have! We are so very excited to hear your good news! Eat girls, eat! Wish we were closer so we could help y'all out in the weeks to come. It's hard for us to believe our boys are 7 months...time flies:) Our love, thoughts and prayers are with you all. Chris, Martha, Peyton & Parker
Coming home??!!?? That's amazing. And possibly even before January is out! I know y'all are so excited. We'll be thinking about you and praying that everything goes great!
Love all of you!

Looks like that nurse was about right when she said February 1st. That is sooo awesome! I can't tell you how excited I was to read that. (I'm sure not near as excited as you.) I am so thankful for all of the blessings from our awesome Father. I am sure there are many more to come your way. Good Luck - we'll be praying for you. I know you two are Great Parents and you'll do just fine. I look forward to some funny blogs to read in the near future. Keep us informed...
Now is when the real fun starts...bringing them home!!! Enjoy your family and get settled in, and accept any offers for help, no matter how small. All of us in Asheville wish we were closer, but are enjoying your updates, and are happy for all the progress. Remember...one day at a time!! Jan Duckworth
