Eating and Growing!

Caroline and Abby are doing great! They are maintaining their body temperatures and are now in a regular crib. They still need a little bit of oxygen, especially while they eat. Caroline now weighs 4 pounds, 12 ounces and Abby weighs 4 pounds 14 ounces. They are nursing really well. Their mommy is learning to feed them at the same time! It is quite an experience! They are also learning to drink from a bottle, but it is harder for them to control. We love to hear the cute little noises they make...lots of grunting and it is adorable! They wake up before their feeding times and love to be held! We are feeding them by mouth about 3 times a day now, the rest of the time they get fed through their ng tube. As they get stronger, they'll be able to take more by mouth. When they can take all their food by mouth and they are still gaining weight, we can bring them home! The girls are looking more and more alike! Caroline has a slightly more narrow face, but her little cheeks are beginning to fill out like Abby's! They are precious little girls and it is so fun to watch them grow!
