Growing Girls!

When we visited last night, both Caroline and Abby were on the nasal cannula! Abby has tolerated it really well and is still only needing it to breathe. Caroline did well for awhile, but got a little tired! She is on the CPAP again today. They are going to alternate between the nasal cannula and the CPAP to get her used to the nasal cannula. The nasal cannula doesn't give as much help to breathe and it is great because you can see their faces so much better!! The nurses weighed them both last night. Caroline weighs 3 lbs 9.8 ounces and Abby weighs 3 lbs 13.2 ounces! Abby finished her course of antibiotics and they are waiting on some results of lab work for Caroline before they discontinue her antibiotics. Our girls are having a great day! We are excited about their weight gain! Since both girls are feeling better, we are going to start holding them every other day. So, hopefully we'll get to hold them tonight!

These are truly two beautiful baby girls that are growing more healthy each day! The happy smiles on your faces (in your family photo) show the nuturing love that I am sure they must feel. May God continue to bless your family!

I loved the first family portrait!!When my twins were born (17 years ago) my Mom gave me advice to take a family picture by the tree every year. We have so many wonderful pictures to remember. That was a neat rradition and we still love the family picture by the tree. Can't wait to see more family pictures from you. Have a great new year, and keep sending us the girls' news. Michael and Catherine, the girls sre absolutely beautiful. I am so happy for you and the birth and the lives of your girls. you two will weather this storm. I know you are tired and sometimes a little exasperated at why this is occuring and so am I. I always wonder why things happen the most innoncent but we do not know that reason. The NICU can be very overwhelming but you remember you are there to be a family. At the hospital for now but home soon as it is possible. It has been over 31 years for me with my son, Don, at the NICU unit and I can still remember the smells and the kind nurses who were so helpful and thoughtful. Sometime maybe I could up to visit and not see the babies but just to be with you two. WE love you both and am praying for you at 12:30 am in 2006. You will have a good year. Your Mom has keep us informed. Love Mr. E ..... Mrs. E says hello and good night to the girls!!!!

I've been following the progress
of Caroline and Abby. God has
been so good and I'm continuing
to pray for them as they are
nurtured by HIS mighty hand and
those He is using to care for your
babies.
More blessings in 2006!

For 'some' reason the Lord has woken me up often during the night lately and I use this time to pray for Caroline and Abby. We love you and Michael and can not wait to meet your little girls. This website is awesome - what a testimony to anyone who would ever dare to question if there is a living God! We look forward to watching the girls grow up and share their testimony that has already begun.
