Roller Coasters

The NICU doctors and nurses keep talking about this roller coaster ride we are on... It is true, there are good days and not so good days. We just hope and pray that our not so good days aren't that bad!! The girls have had ups and downs since they were born. All in all, we know the Lord is watching over them and keeping them in the palm of His hand. Caroline has had a great week this week. She has been steadily increasing her feeds-she gets milk through a tube that goes from her mouth to her stomach. She now weighs 2 lbs 13.7 ounces. She is still on the CPAP to help her breathe but is doing well. Abby has had a rougher week. Her nose got really sore and so they put her back on the ventilator to give her little nose a break. It is looking much better and she should be off the vent in the next few days. She has some kind of infection and we aren't sure what it is. She is on antibiotics and we think the doctors caught whatever it was early. Nothing has shown up on tests. Hopefully, these antibiotics will be effective and our little Abby will begin to feel much better! They don't want to feed her until she feels better! Abby is growing. She weighs 3 lbs 5 ounces! So, the roller coaster continues.
