Best Friends!

Best Friends

Our nurse took this picture of the girls the other night! She said she didn't pose them, she just walked in and found them this way. Caroline is on the left and Abby is on the right. Our girls are having a good week. They took their IVs out on Wednesday and now they are getting all of their nourishment from milk. Both of them are doing well breathing with the nasal cannula and will hopefully be able to require less and less additional oxygen. Caroline still weighs around 3 lb. 12 oz. and Abby still weighs 4 lb. 1 oz. We were able to hold them almost every night this week, which is a blessing. The NICU doctor told us on Thursday that our girls were getting "boring", which is actually a good thing and something we will not complain about. The girls like to sleep on the belly more than anything else. When they are on their back's, they wiggle and squirm until they have each other in a tangled mess, then we untangle them and start the process over again. They are one month old today and we are thankful for the progress they are making!
