One Year Ago!

It was one year ago today that we found out that our "baby" was actually two babies! It was Catherine's first trip to the doctor and our first look at an ultrasound. Before we saw the ultrasound, the nurse made a joke about finding out how many babies we were going to have. When the picture came up on the screen the nurse's joking attitude quickly changed as she told us that we were "seriously" having twins. Catherine began to cry and I began laughing at the realization that our thoughts about having a baby needed to dramatically change. We told our parents that night over dinner and their reactions were priceless. If only we had that moment on tape! That is one of those days you will just never forget! All the excitement and emotions from that day are still fresh in my mind, even now that our precious babies are here with us.

The girls are doing great! Both of them are pushing up and rocking on their knees like they are going to start crawling. It is amazing to watch them play and listen to them talk and laugh. Everyday there are new experiences that make having twins even more fun. We are so thankful for our babies and the joy they bring us!

I couldn't agree with you more. On May 25th a year ago, we found out we were having two bundles of joy and pretty much had the same reaction as you guys! But now, looking back at all that we've been through, these little miracle babies are so special and our lives wouldn't be complete without them!

Hi, ya'll don't know me, but Catherine, you were my little nephew's (Ben Stallworth) therapist. I found out I was PG with twins Halloween last year and Joy used to tell me all about you. I've followed your blog the whole time I knew about it while I was PG. It gave me such hope to know that even if my guys were born early, everything would turn out fine. Fortunately, I made it to over 37 weeks and had a vaginal delivery of both boys. They were 6lb 4oz and 6lb 9oz at birth. They are now almost 2 months and we're ready for them to sleep more at night-lol! Your girls are gorgeous and I know you're having so much fun with them!

m~ isn't the ultrasound an amazing experience. you know there is a baby in there, but once you actually see it on the screen (even if they did just look like 2 peanuts), reality sets in. the girls are adorable. - amy (puckett) scoggins

I'm at work, pressing the "Next Blog" button and found yours.
Congrats on the one year anniversary of finding you're having twice the babies & twice the fun!
