Milestones!

Abby and Caroline will be six months old on Tuesday, which is really hard to believe. They have also been home for four months yesterday, which I don't have a hard time believing that! Their lives are really easy to put into two month time frames right now. The first two months they were in the hospital. That two months was tough in every aspect to deal with and definitely out of bounds on the emotional side of things. The next two months was their first two months home. Those two months were absolutely CRAZY! We brought home two hungry mouths that wanted to be fed EVERY three hours for two months straight! The only way we made it through was with all the help we received. The last two months were the difference between night and day. Caroline and Abby will smile for everybody. They are very happy babies unless it is time to eat or to take a nap. The girls will usually go down to bed around 10 o'clock and not wake up until 3 or 4 for a quick snack and then they fall back to sleep until 7 or so. Catherine usually is able to do everything in the night and I get to sleep all night unless they both wake up at the same time.
Abby has learned to roll from her back to her stomach and that is what she does every time you put her down, even at diaper changes! Caroline has rolled from her stomach to her back but hasn't mastered rolling the other way. The girls talk all the time and it is amazing to watch them learn how to make new sounds. They are playing with toys more and grasping for rattles and such.
Catherine and I are truly having fun with the girls. It is definitely a challenge having twins, but the rewards are sweet.
