6-month Check-ups!
The girls turned 6 months last week! We had a great visit with the pediatrician. She was so excited to see all that they are doing and how much they have grown! We started rice cereal over the weekend. Caroline and Abby aren't real sure about eating milk off of a spoon! It is so cute to watch them eat while milk & cereal drip down their faces. We'll start trying different foods besides cereal this weekend and then the real messiness begins!! What fun! Today, they saw their neonatologist at the NICU follow-up clinic. Caroline weighs 13 lbs 4 ounces and Abby weighs right at 13 lbs. They are in the 75th percentile on the "preemie" growth charts (they're around the 5th percentile on the regular growth charts!!). The doctor and nurses just loved seeing the girls. They showed off for the occupational therapist! They are both rolling back to front and front to back. They're working on perfecting their reaching skils and trying to learn how to sit. It was so fun for Michael and I to hear that our girls are normal and healthy babies! The neonatologist doesn't want to see the girls until their birthday in December! What reassurance that they are doing so well! We are just amazed to look back and see how the Lord has so richly blessed our lives with these two precious baby girls. It is almost hard to remember the NICU days and how scary things were for awhile. Caroline and Abby continue to smile, laugh, grow, play and keep their Mommy and Daddy very busy!
