July's ups and downs....

It's hard to post when so much has happened and you really don't know where to begin! July has definitely had its ups and downs for us. We've had some great times with family and friends. Caroline & Abby continue to be so much fun and are just awesome! We had a great time with our family over the 4th of July. We hung out at Nana and Papa's pool during the day and shot off fireworks that night which was very fun for Daddy! And the girls slept right through them!! Nana and I took the girls, Mary Kate and Cole to the Suwanee fountains which was a blast! The twins loved it and had no fear! Uncle Eric turned 27 on 7-7-07 and had a great time in Las Vegas. I was so glad Gramma and Grandaddy got to go too...we loved looking at their pictures of the Grand Canyon and Vegas. We went to a Bluegrass festival in Cullowhee with some friends up here. The girls LOVE Bluegrass music and had a blast dancing all night! Aunt Courtney came up to visit for a few days. We got to go to Sophie's first birthday party which was very fun! We met cousin Julie's baby, Megan, for the first time and she is adorable! Gramma came up for a whole week which was awesome. We'll miss that luxury when school starts back. The end of the month was very exciting with the birth of Claire Ryan Gadd on July 28th. She is beautiful and precious and very very sweet! Payton will have fun having a little sister! The girls loved meeting little Claire and playing with their friend Payton.

Now for the downs....we had to put Maggie to sleep at the beginning of July. She had a cancerous tumor and got really sick, really fast. It was hard to make that decision, but we know it was for the best. We miss having a dog and we miss our special Maggie. She was a good dog.
Michael's Granny died in the middle of July and that has been really hard. She was such a beautiful and sweet lady. She had been sick for a while and now she is free from pain and suffering. Her funeral was absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed remembering the great times with his Granny.
Caroline and Abby are just so sweet! They are talking a lot now. Saying lots of words that we understand and lots of words that we don't!! They are trying new things to eat but still are a little picky with the textures. I think Abby is more easy going than Caroline in the food department. It is hard to believe they will be 20 months old on Monday. Time really does fly! I put some pictures of our July in "Photo Gallery II". We really have been blessed to spend a lot of time with our family and friends this month!

Hi! I surfed in from Joy's blog. I like to see yours because I, too, have twins. Two boys. It's interesting to see what other twin parents are experiencing.

I'm sorry about the downers in your month. Losing a pet and loved one is very difficult. We had to put our cat to sleep on Easter Sunday. He got very sick, very fast, VERY unexpectedly. We just got my older daughter a new kitten this weekend. It's a new joyous beginning!

My boys, one in particular, are funny about certain textures, too. One of them will eat nothing that is really cold. You can forget ice cream with him. He won't keep pasta in his mouth, either. Fortunately one of them eats practically anything you put in front of him that's food, and unfortunately he finds non-edible items to enjoy on occassion.

Your girls are adorable!
