SNOW days!!

Well, it snowed Tuesday night...about 2 inches so the girls were out of school Wednesday and Thursday. It has been sooo cold! We finally got out to play in it yesterday and today. The girls had a ton of fun. We built a Clemson Tiger Frosty to celebrate our huge win the other night against Duke! It is crazy living on the side of a mountain! We still have snow in our front yard while most of Asheville's snow has already melted. The wind blew like crazy and we have several patches of very deep snow from the wind blowing it into a pile. Caroline and Abby had fun falling in it, painting it with food coloring & water, and rolling snow balls! We've been a little stir crazy inside all week and are looking forward to a beautiful weekend with warmer weather!!

Overdue update!!

It is hard to believe it is already February 3, 2009!! Three years ago our lives were forever changed when we brought home two tiny babies from the hospital. It feels like yesterday and forever ago all at the same time!! Lately our days have been spent trying to keep warm, playing hide and go seek, having delicious food made for us from the girls' play kitchen, talking...non-stop about everything, pretending to be Aurora or Cinderella, singing and reading books! Mommy gets to play the role of either Prince Phillip (then I get to wake my two sleeping beauties up with a kiss!) or the Fairy Godmother (I get to sing bippity, boppity, boo and help get them ready to go the ball!). They are having such fun playing pretend. They like to stay in their "jommy-dresses" as long as they can and are pretty much in dress up clothes all day long! Caroline and Abby are quite the girly-girls!
Our biggest news is that Michael started his own engineering firm at the beginning of the year. We hope 2009 will be a great year for him as President of his own firm! The girls have adjusted well to having Daddy's office upstairs and love that they get to see him more often!
Christmas was wonderful and we loved spending time with our family. We woke up Christmas morning in Asheville and the girls were so cute seeing what all Santa had brought them! We loaded up the car and drove to Georgia to see the rest of our family. It was a great trip! We so enjoyed seeing everyone on Christmas Day. We celebrated Payton's 3rd birthday a few days after Christmas which was super fun! The Gadd's came up to visit us just after New Year's and we had a lot of fun playing with their sweet girls and being with our best friends! We got to spend a few days in Georgia in mid-January when Aunt Courtney and Uncle Matt visited from Boston. We've had several snow showers...each leaving us a little under an inch. It's snowing now, so maybe we'll get a few inches so we can build a really big snowman!! Then I'll be ready for Spring!! I've put some new pictures in Photo Gallery II. Maybe it won't be so long before I update again!!
