Give your sister a kiss!!

Caroline and Abby are just so sweet! Their new "trick" is giving kisses and their favorite person to kiss in the whole world is their sister! It is really cute! I think they love each other! Kisses are given frequently to pictures of their friends & family, babies in books or their own little baby dolls. They occasionally even save a kiss for Mommy and Daddy!! We've been having so much fun with the girls. All they want to do is walk! They think they can walk by themselves even though they are not quite there yet! I love it when I'm walking with both of them and Abby wants to go one way and Caroline wants to go the other. They just don't understand why Mommy's arms can't go everywhere they want to go! Caroline has lately been our toy stealer...she watches Abby playing and just goes over and takes whatever Abby has! Most of the time, Abby voluntarily gives Caroline her toy. Every once in a while though it turns into a good tug of war with parental intervention! Twins are a lot of fun. It is great to watch them laugh at each other and copy what the other does. They continue to be happy, very active and sweet!
Please pray for one of our "twin friends" Zachary Miniscalco. He's in the pediatric intensive care unit at Children's with pneumonia. His twin sister, Grace, is missing him at home. Our hearts go out to their family....just imagining how difficult it would be to have a child in the hospital again. We know he is in great hands and will be home with Grace really soon!!
Stay warm! It is freezing up here in North Carolina! We saw snow today a little north of Asheville! And in the process of writing this blog, we received about an inch of snow, what a surprise!

Look Daddy...one hand!!

Caroline and Abby love to walk holding our hands or pushing their toys. Tonight, they walked holding only one hand!! They are funny girls!! Abby loves to crawl up the stairs and Caroline loves to pull DVD's and books off of their shelves. They are into everything! They share with each other which is very sweet. They will give their sister a toy...but they always want it back!! We went to the doctor yesterday...the girls both weigh 19 lbs 14 ounces! You should of seen me getting them into the doctors office. I had to put socks, shoes, coat and hat on Caroline, and strap her in the stoller...then socks, shoes, coat and hat for Abby and strap her into the stroller....all in the pouring SNOW!!!! It was quite a site to see! We met our new pediatrician who is very nice. They had their RSV shots and each of them have an ear infection! (Abby in her left ear, Caroline in her right..just to make everything fair!) The girls are happy and healthy though! They never complain about ear infections and the antibiotics are yummy!

The snow yesterday out our back door!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

The Goforth's had a wonderful Christmas! We went home to Atlanta to be with family and friends! We were so thankful to have Caroline and Abby home with us this Christmas! They had fun opening presents and being with everyone! We visited Nana and Papa's church Christmas Eve morning and then the Branen's church Christmas Eve night. The girls were on their best behavior all day because they knew Santa was coming to town! Grandaddy cooked barbeque chicken wings Christmas Eve and they were delicious! Santa brought the girls a cool new wagon, their first dolls (twins!) and a rocking horse! Aunt Courtney helped us get ready for Santa! We went over to Aunt Mindy's Christmas morning for brunch. Abby and Caroline enjoyed being with their cousins and seeing all of the family! We went back to Gramma and Grandaddy's to open more presents and eat Christmas dinner. The girls and I stayed home for a few extra days. Michael had to be back at work on the 27th. We were able to celebrate our dear friend Payton's first birthday and that was so much fun!
We spent time with friends New Year's Eve and had a wonderful time. It was great to be with friends here in Asheville! The girls came with us and stayed up until 11:00!! They didn't quite ring in the New Year...but came really close! I made my first attempt at collard greens, black eyed peas and pork on New Year's Day. It was very salty...but it all tasted good! Abby enjoyed chewing on the collard green stalk while I was getting them ready...yuck!! We took the girls for a long drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway and it was an absolutely gorgeous New Year's Day!
