Happy Late Thanksgiving!

We went to Atlanta for Thanksgiving and we all had a great time! We stayed at Nana's house for the long weekend and the girls slept great. For Thanksgiving dinner, we went to my Aunt Judy's house for a great feast. The girls enjoyed playing with their cousins and their aunts and uncles. Catherine and I sat on the floor at the coffee table, while Caroline and Abby sat in their booster seats on the floor. The girls didn't understand that they couldn't crawl around while they were attached to the booster seats. Abby kept trying to lean forward and start crawling with the booster seat strapped to her bottom. We had all of the "children" (I cannot believe I am too old to be included in that group) sit on the couch for the first of many family photographs. I had just enough time to take exactly one picture before it all fell apart.

We made the trip back to Asheville today and we were able to take a pit stop at the Gadd's lake house on Lake Keowee for lunch. It was such a beautiful day we were tempted to take the boat out and make a day of it, but we knew we would end up getting home very late.

We promise to get better!!

We have been official blogging slackers!! So much has happened we haven't even known where to start!! Caroline and Abby are doing great! We are getting ready for their first birthday in just a couple of weeks! Caroline weighs 18 lbs, 12 ounces and Abby weighs 18 lbs, 11 ounces. They are cruising around our furniture and having a ton of fun together. It is so sweet to listen to them laugh at one another! They are happy babies and always have a smile! They each have six teeth that are so cute!! They still don't like to take naps during the day unless we're in the car...I know, I'm just so much fun they don't want to nap! Our big news is that Michael accepted a job in Asheville, North Carolina in October. We moved up here at the end of October and have settled into a nice townhouse. His company is helping us out until we sell our home in Lawrenceville. Michael is so happy in his job and is doing some very exciting engineering! I am thrilled that he is enjoying his work! It has been tough not being close to family and friends, but we look forward to the holiday season and lots of trips home! We celebrated cousin Ella's 2nd birthday and cousin Sophie's baptism in October. The girls dressed up like Tigers for Halloween and went to lunch in downtown Asheville with Aunt Courtney. Gramma, Aunt Courtney, Nana and Aunt Judy all came to visit that first week we were here which helped me out so much! It made things not quite as hard that first week! We saw our first snow yesterday on my birthday! Just flurries but it was pretty! It's gonna be a cold winter in the mountains!
